This year, the Istra Camping campsites in Umag and Poreč were once again decorated with awards and recognitions by major websites and players in the camping world, namely ADAC, ACSI, Croatian Camping Union and Avtokampi.si. These recognitions have reaffirmed the status of the Istra Camping campsites as popular and modern destinations that offer all the necessary infrastructure and premium camping services, great entertainment, beautiful pools and beaches, restaurants and activities for the whole family. This year, Camping Park Umag was able to repeat last year’s success as the highest-ranked Croatian campsite on the list of most popular campsites by ADAC’s camping portal PiNCAMP.de. Park Umag found itself on the same renowned list, with an impressive second-place ranking in Europe according to visitors’ interest.

Furthermore, Camping Park Umag received ADAC Superplatz 2024, which is the highest quality award given by German campers. This is a traditional annual recognition of the largest automobile club in Europe, representing more than 18 million members.

The remaining eight Istra Camping campsites – Camping Bijela Uvala, Camping Zelena Laguna, Camping Ulika, Camping Puntica, Camping Kanegra, Camping Savudrija, Camping Finida and Camping Stella Maris – were awarded the ADAC TIPP 2024.

Camping Park Umag also received the ACSI Honourable Mention 2024 as one of the most popular campsite choices in Croatia.

ACSI Awards 2024: “Nicest Campsite for Children in Croatia” – Camping Stella Maris 

Members and users of the Dutch ACSI, one of the leading European camping associations, once again recognised the crème de la crème of the camping world. Camping Stella Maris was thus awarded in the category of the Nicest Campsites for Children in Croatia in 2024.

The recognitions were presented at the annual ACSI Awards ceremony and the winners were declared according to the votes given to campsites by visitors over the year.

Croatia’s Best Campsites 2024 – six Istra Camping campsites awarded

This year, the following Istra Camping campsites received the Croatian Camping Union’s award for Croatia’s Best Campsites: Camping Stella Maris, Camping Park Umag and Camping Savudrija in Umag, as well as Camping Ulika, Camping Zelena Laguna and Camping Bijela Uvala in Poreč.

Best Campsite Adria 2023 – Camping Bijela Uvala and Camping Ulika

This year, Slovenian camping portal Avtokampi.si once again decorated the best campsites in Croatia and Slovenia with its Best Campsite Adria recognition. Two Istra Camping campsites received this prestigious award for 2023 – Camping Bijela Uvala ranked second in the “Large Istrian Campsites” category, while Camping Ulika ranked second in the “Croatian FKK Campsites” category.

All the awards and recognitions are the result of Plava Laguna’s continuous investments aimed at improving the quality of the Istra Camping campsites. Over the last few years, Camping Park Umag received a new Canova pool complex and investments were made in additional accommodation zones with pitches, mobile homes and glamping tents, as well as in the development of the Canova beach. The campsites in Poreč also continue to receive investments year after year, namely with a view to enhancing the accommodation, fitting out the pools and developing the beaches, as well as modernising facilities such as toilets, playgrounds, entertainment clubs and sporting infrastructure.

Major investments have also been made in the digitalisation of business processes, such as the online check-in and self-check-in options and the mGuest application, in order to make our guests’ stay at the campsite as pleasant and hassle-free as possible.
